| | | | Joined: Apr 2004 Posts: 35 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Apr 2004 Posts: 35 | Trying to get my wipers hooked up. below the carb on the manifold is a vacuum port that the PO took the vacuum line loose and plugged the hole with a piece of wood. I am looking for a fitting to put back in the hole so I can hook the vacuum line back up. I have been everywhere looking for the fitting but can't find one that small.
The hole in the manifold is 1/4" accross.
Any ideas??

If I can't find the correct size is there another place the line can be hooked up?

Try a real hardware store.

A parts store should have a fitting with a nipple to hook the vacuum hose to. If the fittng is for 1/8 pipe thread use a reducer bushing.

Ace Hardware usually has them too. They are used for ice maker lines.

They don't make them anymore. Went to my old place of employment and one of the machinist is making me one.
