Trouble with northern Wisconsin is that there are just not enough "Waffle House's" to keep cops off the roads in the early morning hours! wink grin grin

It is totally unfair but lately I have had some of the benefits gorgeous blondes have when pulled over by the law or in other such situations. As long as I have my 8 year old twin girls with me. I got pulled over in the hills coming home some months ago and had gone across the double yellow lines three times in three turns. Little did I know the headlights behind me was a cop.
After the girls had a nice little chat with the officer he told me:
"Better get those girls home now and stay on your own side, it is safer there".
"Eh, thank you officer. You mean I don't have to sign anywhere?" eek

You should all move up here. We don't see the cops much and as far as vehicles being wrong, what is that. Half the cars have a burnt headlight and the other third have no light at all - gone! Got stopped at a "seatbelt inspection" one night and the guy behind me had one light. I was passed through and so was he! Or you get stoped at a drink/driving roadblock at 5:30 at night. Forget 10:00 at night. Best yet, there is a private school nearby where the parents bringing their kids all speed and double park. Never see a cop BUT last week school was out for the holidays and there was a radar trap in the school zone.....! Go figure!

The California Highway Patrolman I met the other night while out getting a bag of ice had no sense of "bolterism" either.... of course he wasnt impressed with the way I got out into traffic... be careful out there, I forgot where I was at, and that it was dark.. cost me a failure to yield ticket... woke me up tho.

I got out of a ticket because of my beautiful fiance in the passenger seat. grin

Most stupid ticket I've ever gotten was a "failure to change lanes when an officer is parked in the shoulder of the road." Best part is, the cop worked with me. :/

I would like to see that mentioned in the vehicle code. I never heard of such an infraction. Maybe he could get you here for unsafe speed for the conditions.

Ive b.s.ed my way out of some real dumb ones, passed un unmarked cop in a double yellow on a two lane on/off ramp.No ticket.Agood but chewin though.16 yrs old and undestructable.Haulen but through an emty shoping mall parking lot in my 51 slaloming around the dividers as fast as i can and come out of the lot sideways into a 3lane one way.Didnt even notice that the car a half block back was a patrol car.Reached down as soon as i saw the cherrys and pulled the negative cable off the batery and as soon as the truck came to a stop flew out of the cab with a hamer in hand, poped the hood and started banging on the exhaust manifold screaming like a mad man,THAT DUMB S.O.B BROTHER OF MINE WILL NEVER USE MY TRUCK AGAIN,ive had this truck 2 years and no problems and my dumb brother borrows it once and the throtle sticks and almost gets me killed.Again a good but chewin but he fell for it and no ticket.

It's called the move-over law, I've been a trooper here for 10 years and have been put in the hospital 3 times, getting hit while on a traffic stop. 90% of the cops will determine weather to issue a citation when they find out the driver's demeanor, be a smart a@# and that guarantees it. Oh, and never say why are u pulling me over, 99% of the people know why ther're getting pulled over.

I always give good looking girls citations and the ugly ones breaks.

Whats so bad about donuts, there good for u, and I love to be called a PIG (Pride-Integrity-Guts) remember only a few do what we do for the little amount of pay or appreciation we get. It's tough going to a father and mothers house at 2am to tell them thier teenager is never coming home.

Got a ticket about two months ago for running a red light. I sat at a stuck on red light for about 3 minutes, traffic building up behind me about 6 deep, so I proceed with caution through the stuck light. John Law pulls me over and gives me a ticket while the light stays red and other traffic is goin through it. I was cool tah the cop, I mean yah should all ways be cool tah cops because an [censored]hole one can ruin your day no matter what right? He was liein tah me a few times and when that started happening I just took the ticket. S0ooooooooooo I call the city prosecuter the next day and she gets me a zerox copy of the city traffic departments Overtime card on the city employee that went out to repair the light. Went tah court the cop didn't show DISmissed!
Adios, Kip

Guess we are lucky(?) here, I been driving my 64 w/no exhaust(gone just under the cab), even no windshield a couple times(long story, finally got a glass co. to come to my house). I am beginning to think they won't pull anyone over for any reason. They cut the number of miles the troopers can drive a month, so now they don't patrol as much so they can drive the cars home. No state inspection, you can drive anything that will move. Move over is law in Texas, but not here in Arkansas. We be hicks! Brian

I got pulled over last month for supposedly going 35 in a 25 mph zone in my '67 Chevelle.
http://community.webshots.com/user/wheelnut46
This car is a 4 door hardtop with 28,000 miles and a 230 and powerglide. This is the original stock, granny-mobile. I couldnt believe it. First of all this aint no hot rod. Have you ever tried to go 25 mph? This was no quiet, residential area either. This is a popular road that everyone and their brother uses to get from one end of town to another.
After giving me a $75 ticket he proceeded to compliment me on the car but tell me to slow down especially in an old car that doesnt have modern safety equipment.
Its ball busting like that that makes people remember the bad stuff cops do and forget the good.

In the town of Harrah, OK (suburban OKC), the donut shop and the cop shop are next door to each other!!! They're in a strip mall on Harrah Road on the south end of the main part of town. Big, plain red sign: "DONUTS". Big, plain blue sign next to it: "POLICE". Just too freakin' dang funny.

Can't make that stuff up. cool grin

One time when I was young and stupid I was wanting to make a left turn at a light. Cars were coming but my Honda 750 was fast so I blipped the throttle, made my turn, and wound her out in first gear. Ofcourse that is over 50 mph on a Honda 750. The second I slowed down I heard the blip of the siren and saw the lights behind me.

"Wasn't that a bit fast?" The officer asked.

"Officer, did you see that car coming at me?"

"What car?"

"I was making my left turn and this car came right at me. My only escape was extreme acceleration to get out of his way."

"I didn't really see any cars."

"Well you missed it, but I assure you my acceleration was necessary. You saw I slowed down the second I could?"

"Ok, I will let you go this time. But be more careful on that thing."

"Yes officer, thank you!"

Yah know I look back on misfortune and receiving stuff from people in authority that I don't want and after they have presented me with the item I strongly don't want I tell the person in authority "Thank You". WHY AM I THANKING THEM!!!!
