I had to do mine on my 53 3100 and it involved drilling out what seemed like an endless amount of spotwelds. | | | | | Joined: Apr 2007 Posts: 92 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Apr 2007 Posts: 92 | This is one post I'll be watching! I need to replace mine this summer. I've got the welder, now I just need to but the C25 and run a few practice welds.
Honestly, if you take your time measure three times before you cut and are comfortable with your welder - should be to big a deal.
Good luck, and post some pix (before and after). | | | | | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 256 Member | | Member Joined: May 2006 Posts: 256 | No Not complete dash, just were the radio goes. I will do a before ..during..and after..

Guess you found that out. If you want to cut metal use a die grinder and a cut off wheel. Works great for grinding welds too. | | | | | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 256 Member | | Member Joined: May 2006 Posts: 256 | I was just out grinding some high spots on the weld around the face plate..that s... is tuff as hell to grind down. Its coming along good though. Its gonna be great when i can put all my knobs on and Finally paint the interior...wont be long now.Except i have to buy a new inner fire wall cover...ha ha ha
