For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! I know the wheel stickers are out there, but does anyone know where or how I can get a new odometer - or at least set mine back to 00000 as I drop in my rebuilt engine???? I don't know of any vendors listing these things anymore

Most titles have the mileage reading on them. If you set the reading back and someday try to sell the vehicle, especially with a lower mileage number than when you titled it, getting the title transferred could be an issue. Also many collectors place a lot of value on odometer readings being correct. You could lower the value of your ride by messing with the reading.
If you're bound and determined to change it any speedo rebuild shop can set it to any number you wish.

No matter what the old mileage says you'll never know if its 100 thousand or two hundred thousand. So, when I do mine I always set speedo to zero....after all, it is a NEW vehicle isn't it? I see you are in Charlotte, no far from me. If you need resto work done on it there is D&M Restorations in Greenville, N.C. thats does a jam up job. I was just over there Monday and picked up a 57 chevy temp guage. Looks great and Mike is very knowledgeable about a lot of little things that help in unusualy situations. Give him a call at 864-421-9959. Tell Mike that Alvin said to give you a discount!! | | | | | Joined: Jun 2007 Posts: 95 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jun 2007 Posts: 95 | Great; thanks for the help guys. Grandfathers (I'm second owner).....thanks for the link to D&M....although by the area code, I'm assuming they are in Greenville South...
