Are these hard to replace & where should I get one? Also, is there a lower bearing & should I relace it while I'm at it or is it harder to change? If the linkage, mounting bolts, & turn signal stuff is removed the "mast jacket" or outside sheetmetal part of the column will slide up & off the steering shaft. Bad bearings can cause hard steering & shifter binding. I might have got them from the Filling Station or Dan's Classic parts.

How far down is it? I unscrewed a bolt with a screw head out of the bottom of the column & it released a sheetmetal sleeve with a white plastic sleeve, could this be where the bearing should be? It looks like someone has been in here before because of electrical tape. Any help? You will need to remove the mast jacket, there are two 1/4"(7/16" head) bolts just under the dash, then a clamp on the firewall side. Linkage if any must be disconnected.
