The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area Interiors Windshield Glare Question

Not truck related but could be. I recently drove the wife's 04 Malibu to CA and back and noticed that glare of the dash was reflected up onto the windshield. This was almost a day long problem making it impossible to see clearly through the glass and causing a bad case of eye fatique. Does anyone know of a product that can maybe be sprayed or wiped on the vinyl/plastic dash to reduce/eliminate the reflection factor without damaging the dash materials? Thanks in advance.

How about a dash mat Bruce? They will protect the dash and cut the glare

I sure don't think you need armorall. as a tempory fix you could use wax and not rub it off??? The dash mat sounds good.

Had thought about the dash mat but figured it would probably cause the reflection also. The interior color is a light gray but would like to stay away from black or another dark color if possible. This is wifey's car and she can be fussy at times. Personally I like the dash mat.

They sell anti-glare at most parts stores.
Applies to the inside of the glass.
I use it on my snowmobile helmet to cut the glare at nite.

Thanks wilbur I'll look for this. I was thinking more along the lines of something for the dash itself and not the glass.
