One piece of advice... while the mirror may be advertised as stainless steel, the screws are not. Put some kind of protective coating on them before they rust like mine did. But on Task Force doors, there are already mounting threads inside the door skin. You just have to locate them and drill the skin accordingly. Then I used the holes in the mirror-mounts themselves to mark the spots to drill ... placed masking tape down on the truck body and then drilled the holes.
It worked perfectly.

The holes are there and you will want to hit them. You should also plan on puttin nuts on the inside of the cowl rather that relying on the sheet metal to hold the screws. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2005 Posts: 20 Apprentice | | Apprentice Joined: Sep 2005 Posts: 20 | thanks for the help.The plate inside the cowl has 2 holes but they are alligned horizontally.Ive drilled through the cowl using the one hole that is in the correct location. But I can't access the lower bolt to put the lock washer and nut on. There is original sheet metal inside the cab covering the lower bolt hole. Will I have to access it through the upper hinge location? | | |
