I have the headliner out of my mid-49 3800 for painting and while looking at the framework I think it would be easy to make an overhead console to hold whatever.

Have any of you installed an overhead console? Did you make or buy if you have?

I suspect that having a console might also make installing a headliner easier as you could cut it in half for easier handling.

Thoughts or ideas? Vans have them, why not a mid-49 with the center bow or later?
