I didn't use anything on mine, but it is a
bear if you have the floating type headliner. It will take two people! Try to take your time
so that you don't put a bunch of creases in it.
A solution of 50-50 water and amonia is sprayed
on the backside so that it gives flex to the
headliner. Don't overspray and get it soaked.
Most people recommend that you put the front
section in first, but it's not mandatory.

forum and type in headliner. You'll get more

It took two of us to install and I don't think I could have done it with out the extra set of hands. We took our time and I only have one small crease line that I can see. Otherwise it came out smooth as can be.
