Happy Birthday to one of the pillars of Stovebolt. Alvin has been with us a long, long time. As an excellent ambassador, with a friendly and charming display of Southern hospitality, he blends perfectly with the Stovebolt voice. We are proud to call him friend of Stovebolt and dear friend of ours.

Here's wishing you good health into your next year(s). Thank you for "keeping the lights on" around here with your support and quick smile. smile

John and Peggy

Happy hatch day, Alvin!!!

Did you see the Rodney Dangerfield clip on FB where he tells Johnny Carson that his birthday cake looked like a prairie fire?

Thanks so everyone for your well wishes.

As many of you know I have been fighting some serious health issues the past couple years and they have finally caught up with me. The worst has been my kidneys and they finally gave up.
Starring in September I was in the hospital for exactly 4 weeks. An ER visit for breathing issues ended up showing to much fluid on the lungs/heart ect which led to Dialysis. Now I go Tues, Thursday and Saturday every week for 4 hours of Dialysis each day.

Peggy, thank you for your kind remarks. I joined Stovebolt in 1997 and after the computer glitch around 2000 I "rejoined" in 2001. Its been a great ride and many many friends or which many are no longer with us. I had a great time with my daughter a few years ago of covering half the USA and visiting a bolter almost everyday. What a trip and to the many that have visited me from Italy, Ca.,Canada, NY and many many others. I miss them.

...and Victoria and I visiting the B.C. Bolters for a solid week. Thank to 3B hosting it and Trevor for accomodations. I even got a birthday card from Paul last week.

Thanks to TUT the Southern Bolters are in good hands and great guys. I'm sorry I have to miss them this Saturday for one of our gatherings. Such great guys.
I still read and keep up so don't think I'm not, as TUT said, Lurking around.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
