I am in need for 4 16x4.5 or 16x4 6 lug standard wheels for my 1941 1/2 ton truck that the tire tube area is not severely corroded, not worried about light corrosion. From reading the parts catalog these rims came on 39-48 passenger cars and 1/2 ton trucks.

I have found a few on ebay but I am not looking to spend a small fortune on wheels and a lot of them are horrible.

The 37-38 wheels would originally be 4.0 inches wide between the beads, but the 39-55.1 1/2 ton's used 4.5 wheels that look identical to the 4.0 wide wheels. That's according to the parts listing, although the vehicle info kits say the 4 inch wide wheels were used up thru 1949. They are both pretty common. I found a 4.5 inch wheel at the storage yard where I keep my pickup camper. Take a tape measure with you when checking.

Thank you for the information I did make a mistake in the listing and you are correct the factory wheels are indeed a 16x4 with the original part number being 599885, The main reason I put down just 16x4.5 is because 99% of the wheels I found out there are labeled that. It also depends where you measure in the bead area at the top of the rim it comes out like a 4.5 and at the bottom of the bead area it comes out closer to 4. But I want to thank you for your information and help.
