Teflon and nylon lined suspension parts need NO grease or lubrication. I took a few minutes today to 'grease up' the Ol'green, for the first time in three years. The result? Re-discovering just how well this truck rides...

I stopped looking when a drop of superheated motor oil dripped down my neck while under the truck. I was anointed with 20w50. I guess that makes me a true 'greaser'?

I kept cleaning and then re-installed the zerks. Some worked fine and accepted grease, but others would not (they all worked fine after cleaning and off of the car). What do I need to do to fix the problem. Without grease somethings gonna wear out fast. Most of the zerks that were problems were on the spring shackles and the front end steering parts.

When you have those zerk fittings out you can insert a sharp object (wire etc?) and poke around in the hole to loosen up that crusted grease. I got all my stubborn fittings to work that way. Also, use a pry bar on those shackles between the frame and spring to take the weight off and then try to give it some grease. That works quite often!
