Anyone know a good source for sandpaper with reasonable shipping costs?
I realized I don't need 45 yards of 2 3/4 sandpaper, but I might like to have a few different grits around. I'll buy some 180 and trade 15 yards of it for some 220 and another 15 for something else. I had the body panels and cab less the frame and bed media blasted, and the frame bed and misc were sand blasted. Considering the cost of sand paper, disks etc you'll probablly end up ahead. I saw a rolling chassis w windows removed, guages and carb masked going into the booth. Nice for getting the many layers off.

If they have big belt sanders, they'll have lightly used belts. I used to have a neighbor who would bring over used belts all the time.

Geeze every day i toss a 102 X 54 inch belt in the dumpster some never ran because they got torn !

Its actually better looking stuff than I expected. I'll try it out and see how long it lasts.
They've really improved their sandpaper selection at my local store.
We'll see if the $19 DA sander outlasts the pack of sandpaper... It runs just fine, even has a variable speed control on the side.
