This is how ive set up my shop on a budget,hope some of yall can use these tips?
Nows the time to hit Lowe's....There reduce bin!
Down in the lumber section on monday-tue,look for a cart or palet with damaged lumber (CULL Lumber)
ask a manager how much? Usualy its a pickup load
of missed matched boards...$10-20 Bucks!
Now in the cabnet section (anytime) look for a
cabnet or counter top with a reduced sticker,its usually 1/2 off...DONT PAY THAT! Lowe's will knock
another 1/2 if you ask them. I paid $40.00 for
a $900.00 counter top,makes a great work bench.
(It was ordered wrong)
The cabnets get marked down to around $80.00
I can usualy get then for $10-20 bucks.
Dont forget Grass seed...$1.00 if the bag is torn.
If you need any racks....go around back and get
them out of the used Fridge's.
Paint gets reduced also (mixed wrong color) $2.00
a qt.
Just remember,you have to ask them to reduce the item,or make a offer.
Oh yea,windows...$30.00
You can try this at the big Orange store,but there harder to deal with.

Good tips, we have a couple Lowe's in town, I will be checking them out more often. I usually go to Menard's the most, I may have to stop at Lowe's first.

I'm not patient enough to build my own. I bought an office desk at a county - property auction where i live. 30 x 60, and the thing ius sturdy as all get up. $5.00. I'm always driving around on trash day to find a corner kitchen cabinet to use up on the wall, but nothing yet...

An old house door works well for a workbench, screw the hinges to the wall then use a couple 2x4 as legs.

I try to be a sharp buyer and a bargain shopper and even ask for discounts etc....but around here it is hard to get Lowes, or anyone else, to give you a break as the ones around here always say they have "someone" who buys ALL their damaged mechandise. This usually means their buddies get it.

The buddy system works on the riding lawnmowers,
(There in a pile around back) and other big stuff.The deals you cant get are the ones the employees get,air compressors,nailguns,drills.
I sugest try a different manager at different times of the day,evening,weekday.Ill send my
22 year old daughter in to flirt if the manager is young (sorry shes spoken for) ...hey its all

a New bi-folding door..reg.$100.00 got it for
$8.00,I tried for $5 but dident push. Theres a stack of 6' dogear fence,probley 20 panels.They want $400.00 Its been there 3 weeks now,I bet
$50 bucks will take it!

You know you can get a returned 12volt battery
for $19.95 at Advance auto parts? Brand new.
There back behind the parts dept. You have to ask,they sometimes play dumb?
