For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2004 Posts: 168 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Sep 2004 Posts: 168 | I've got an upright Craftsman compressor. I was trying to close the bottom drain and it kept hssing at me. I screwed it all the way in and it kept hissing and then, like an idiot, I screwed it out until it blew out the bottom like a wine cork in a cartoon. Apart from being really loud and kinda neat, did I break my machine? Do I have to deal with a little hiss forever, or is there some fix for my idiocy?
Thanks,
Jason

Should be able to pick up a new one @hardware store,or you can use an elbow & a couple nipples & bring the drain out from under the tank where it is easier to mess with. (sissy). I trid to get an elbow and petcock, but it's a left hand thread. No one locally had it. I just ordered anojther one from Sears. Thanks for the input...

I'll check local supply houses and see if I can find one.
Thanks,
