I know I can buy a new panel but I am not sure how to change it. I can see the spot welds on the bottom but I can't see what holds the upper part. Can anyone here offer a little advice? I did find this 2013 on-topic thread at Classicparts.com. I think the info and pictures in there will help you answer the question on separating the lower front from the upper part.  Let us know how it turns out.

Any do's and don'ts tips, plus pictures may make it easier for others looking to do the same work.
