Are there any Southern Bolters planning on going to Franklin? Our own PaPa Joe has expressed an interest in making the trip. A Convoy of Southern Folks would be just the ticket..

We'll be going up hopefully early Thursday morning. I will be trailering the 3800 I can't imagine driving it thru Kentucky on I-65, I would need a chiropractor as soon as I arrived!

You would probably be as welcome as I would with my pre-war '38.

Actually, there is a car show that Saturday at the same fairgrounds, along with a good size swap meet, so all classic and custom vehicles are welcomed.....of course the AD trucks are set up separate.
Dad and I will be there along with fellow Michagander Stovebolter "JustMark". Even the King himself was claiming he may make an appearance this year....Don King that is...

It's obviously not as attractive an area as the Smokey Mountains, but the big swap meet is always great and of course the AD trucks and fellowship.

Sorry gents, I will not be able to make it like I thought. I get a new hip just a week before so I will be crippled for a while.

If I am able to go, health is making it questionable, I will be joining up with the Townsend TN group somewhere near Knoxville. Haven’t made any Hotel reservations yet. Better get on that, I guess. 🙄

Don, we will miss you at the show for sure, and hope you make a speedy recovery!....maybe make it to Winchester the following week??

Papa Joe, we stay at the Baymont, which is walking distance to the Quality Inn. There is a Waffle House next door if we want to do a breakfast meet-up. ("JustMark" stayed there last year as well)

Just 2 weeks away from our adventure. PaPa Joe and I will stay overnight in Townsend and meet up with the group the following morning.

The plan is to fall in on the Convoy heading to Franklin. I'll be riding Shotgun on this one so I should have a chance to get some good pictures.

Let the Count Down begin... dance

Update: We will meet the Convoy in Alcoa, TN. PaPa Joe and I will overnight there.
