Well, I switched to the dark side. I bought my first ever classic Chevy truck and I couldn't be any more excited. Why not try something different? I love all the old trucks. Fords, Chevys, GMC's, Internationals. The moment I saw this truck on the marketplace, I couldn't resist.

This all original '71 C10 spent its entire life in Dothan, AL. One of the main reasons I bought it was the fact it has the famous Inline 6 292. Never owned a truck with a six cylinder.

Anyhow, excited to be here on this forum to learn and be a part of the community. Cheers!

Hi Peggy. Plan is to keep the truck original as possible and do the necessary repairs to make it road worthy. :-)

Welcome to stovebolt.com. Glad to see you're excited about the six cylinder engine. Many people are excited to swap out for V8. Good luck with your project.

That 292 will be a real workhorse- - - -and finding one in a C 10 with a 3 speed trans is pretty uncommon. 292's have a huge amount of torque- - - -"pass anything but a gas station!"
