Do they work? A few reviews on Amazon complained about the tire bleeding through and staining the Portawall. I want to keep my wide whitewalls but switch to a tubeless radial tire. The cost for a specialty tire compared to a standard tire and adding Portawalls is significant but I don't want to throw money away on a solution that I won't be happy with. | | | | Joined: Jul 2000 Posts: 2,115 Insomniac | Insomniac Joined: Jul 2000 Posts: 2,115 | Previous discussion.... They had a bad habit of not fitting flush with the tire sidewalls, and sometimes creating rim air leaks when they were used with tubeless tires. They can also make for tricky problems with wheel balance. Maybe they've gotten better since then? Jerry

I just hate the thought of spending $300+ per tire, but I think that is the route I need to go so I don't regret it. | | | | Joined: Oct 2021 Posts: 5,686 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Oct 2021 Posts: 5,686 | I agree with you. For wide whitewall radials, go to Diamondback. www.dbtires.comDo not buy Cokers. They are utter crap. Even Corky Coker recommends Diamondback over his own company's products if you plan on driving the vehicle instead of just showing it.
