I got a message from Dave Hoque. He is expecting a record turnout for 2025 Smoky Mountain Nationals. He asked if I had a number for the Trucks that would be attending this year. He is interested in the number that won't be registered for the Show, the Trucks other than the AD series.

If you are planning to attend and bringing your Truck please let me know. I would like to have a number to him as soon as possible.

Reservations made and should have a new to us Chevy that is road worthy. Waiting on the owner to get the title straightened out thru the court system.
Also the weather has to be be better for the trip to Oklahoma and pick it up;

How booked up is lodging in the area? I’d say I’m unlikely to make it, but still considering.

We’ve stayed in Wears Valley a couple times when we’ve been out there. Probably 10 mins or so from Townsend.

I would register but we’ll have a non AD Chevy on the trailer.

JW, if you are just thinking about going, go ahead and make your reservations now. Almost everyplace offers free cancelation if you can’t make it. But trust me, you and your family will enjoy this event, even if you don’t bring your AD.

I will enjoy it. Family? Meh???

One of my 4 kids would enjoy it for a few hours.

But we all do enjoy the Smokies. Trying to negotiate a little long weekend for the family.

Peggy and I have it on our radar ... Tentatively. The good news is that it's only 4 hours from here smile

We have a lot on *our* plate at the moment so its hard to make plans.

Yep, Dave said this Show has just exploded. The show grounds can accommodate the number of Trucks, but the Motels and Restaurants will be packed. Better secure your lodging NOW if you can...

Better count Peggy and I out then at this point. Our schedule is just too fluid this far out. If anyone wants to make a detour to stop by Stovebolt HQ coming or going, you are more than welcome! We're about 60 minutes south of I-24 (South Pittsburgh)and about the same West from I-59 (Ft Payne).

Seems like a lot going on around that time frame. Our Grandson's HS graduation is that week along with our anniversary. It's a juggling act to get everything crammed into a couple of weekends. We are looking forward to this year, it's the 5th year of our "Jamboree"..

Just an update on those bring their Trucks. So far we have PaPa Joe and "Old Blue', Alvin and "Blue Thunder", Rob and his Red '66 C10, Tom and his Black '54, Don is a maybe on bringing a Truck. We have the front corner at the entrance again, same as last year. There is always room for more.

Vicki and I still plan on attending and should have a new to us old Chevy to trailer in.
I will update when I do get the truck home after waiting for almost six months on the title.

And, I will try not to tick Vicki off, so she will bake up some of her cookies for the event.
There are no garrentees that won’t happen though?
I will try to get her to bring a few of her creations though, just to guard the truck.

Don

If you have been keeping up with Dave and the You Tube posts you know that there are some changes this year. We are being moved to the side of the show grounds, nest to the registration tent. Our NON AD trucks will be parked near the tennis courts. Take a look at the links for maps and changes.

I don't have a vehicle any more that fits the critera, BUT I have been checking the travel savings if I go straight from home to the show. Looks more appealing.

OK, Vicki and I will be there Thursday with the new to us 46 Chevy. Maybe Wednesday?
I Just watch Dave’s latest SMN video and even though I pre registered with a non AD truck, I am wondering where I should enter the show grounds at? He stated several times that the show ground entrance is only for AD trucks?
I guess we can figure that out later.

I apologize for not signing up sooner but I will be making the trip to Townsend. Looking forward to meeting new (for me) and old friend Stovebolters. I will be bringing a 1968 vintage Saginaw/Borg-Warner 3sp+overdrive that I rebuilt for Chris Felchle. Happy trails!

I'll arrive Friday morning, with a load of bits and pieces for several bolters. Craig, do you need the foot start linkage and the throwout bearing fork with that bell housing?
