Attended the local beachside Dunkin Donuts Cruise in yesterday (Sat, 11/16). Very well attended, 179 counted entering by the front entrance where they were handing out numbered windshield ID cards where you could describe your vehicle. But maybe 25 or 30 additional cars came in via a side street and weren't counted. Admission was free. Event was hosted by Mopars of Brevard , which seems to be the most active in the area.
The event supports a local charity called Seniors helping seniors. It's pretty much what it sounds like. Those of us that, for one reason or another, are doing better than some others of our age group can chip in to help out. Seniors helping seniors also raffles off a new car (donated by a local group of new car dealerships)each year. To help the cause along, there's a lady named Miz Pink ,along with a couple friends, attend these events as roving ambassadors. (That's my description but I think it's accurate). Part of Miz Pink's duties is to pick a favorite car, or truck in this case. This month, of of the couple hundred that showed up, she picked my 66 C10. They had me pull up by the entrance, took a few photos of Miz Pink & friends , gave me a too large T shirt and a free raffle ticket for the new car raffle. No body takes it too seriously, it's all good fun. But it did feel good, especially since my brother (with his very well done '54 Desoto resto-mod station wagon -440 powered), my sister & BIA, several grandkids & a couple of great grands too were in attendance. And my wife & partner in crime, of course.

Bob, that sounds like an awesome day. Anytime you can combine Family, Friends and Old Trucks is athe makings for a great time. Its pretty COOL that Miz Pink singled out your '66 ( beautiful Truck) with all those entries. Those pictures will make the 2025 Calendar.

Congrats. November in Florida is a great car show season. There are shows both days every weekend. The weather is finally nice and bearable.
