We got word that Marlow, Roache, Sweet and Hambone are there. I think Mike B is there. He was suppose to help John V set up the swap meet.
Hopefully, they'll post here with some pix.

So far, it’s just hambone and I are here holding down the fort. Pat66 is also here. He stopped by and visited with us a while ago. Currently not raining but the air is certainly damp. Mike Roache is about 20 minutes out reportedly.

Just an update fellas. John and Chris met up but they had an issue with the Green Machine. John is about 20 minutes out and Chris will be catching up as soon as he's able. No, John didn't abandon him.
Story details will be live ...

Contrary to the argument that some were making there, who will remain nameless (MR), there are four seasons. And my experience is you usually get to experience at least three of them during the weekend. This year was no exception.
The bolters and friends that attend however, are each unique and offer a blend of the seasons. I always have a positive experience with a Stovebolt event and will continue to attend whenever possible (if I haven’t been excommunicated).
Thanks to all that made this possible from the organizers to the chef’s. Truly enjoyable!
Until next time, Travel safe …. it’s foggy!

Got going early this Morning at about five, the first 6 hours were kinda moist. Got home at 3 pm in the sun A great venue with even greater company, well worth the trip, even snaged the longest distance traveled award, an emence compliment for this bolter. Thanks to all there for a great experience.
This year the Tri-State Truck Show celebrated its 20th event. I have been fortunate enough to attend all but 2 of them. Each year we see familiar faces not only at Camp Stovebolt but other non-Stovebolters as well. As Victor said, the weather was typical WInchester. We have all grown used to inclement weather conditions and it only enhances our great time.
This year I had the privilege to bunking in Rose Bus. While John and Peggy's project is still in its design phase, we were able to battle test in realistic conditions. Much was learned that John will likely give specifics.
Now, the ride there was frustrating. Hopped in the GreenMachine and headed to our selected rendezvous point. Just before arriving, my voltage regulator seemed to stop regulating and the battery was no longer charging. Given the steady rain Friday morning and not wanting to task someone with dragging me home in the event of an issue, I did a quick U-turn and took my other truck.
It was great to spend the weekend with everyone and catch up. As always the event ends too soon and plans are in the works for future events. Thank you to everyone who cooked, provided shelter when needed, and for your friendship over these 20 years. Lots of memories have been made here and I look forward to many more.

You mean THIS award! ("The Long Haul Award" - farthest distance). Coming from Canada, I imagine no one can beat you!
John got home about 12:30. After some chow, he started unloading the bus and putting stuff away. I think we are about to finally get some sun here ... but possibly not for long. Just long enough to make it hot and muggy outside. What a day to make Chili.
Sounds like everyone had a good time. John usually tells stories a few at a time over the next few days. I'm sure he'll start downloading and posting pictures he took later this evening.

Shame for the weather but not much you can do about it but make the best, which is exactly what we did. I got there mid-day on Wednesday, after all, the Tri-state show is my closest form of an annual vacation and sadly did not bring a truck. The driving rain Wednesday morning prompted a game time decision to leave the '50 in the garage (which was loaded with the golf cart and Stovebolt Grill in the back) and just get in the camper and head west. Seems like a lot of other people made similar decisions but, I believe the total count for the whole even was 156 trucks which isn't too bad considering we had only about a half a day of sunshine. It also sounds like the show didn't do too bad as far as the money made towards the charities. So, good on everyone that showed up. As I have said after 18 of the 20 Winchesters I have attended, I had a blast and look forward to next year. We eat, we drank, we laughed and enjoyed each other's company once again. It seems to happen too infrequently these days but I guess it makes the time we spend together even more enjoyable and memorable. Thanks to all, hope to see you soon.
