As I recall it could have been manual choke or auto choke. I also think it was the Rochester R-1 and there would have been an additional number for man/auto choke. I've seen some of these with Carter carburetors on them and one I had for a brief while had a Carter but I can't remember...want to say 4339 was the number? It was man choke.

Look here (I just "searched Mono-jet carb" : https://www.ebay.com/itm/1759917897...p;campaignid=20856436953&mkgroupid=1I'm now using the Holley # 8007 , 4bbl , 390 cfm carb & OFFY intake . My car runs - - really good (using this set-up) ; still using my L 6 stock exhaust (here in Arizona) . . so,I still have stock "carb heat" . jim | | | | | Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 29,777 Kettle Custodian (pot stirrer) | | Kettle Custodian (pot stirrer) Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 29,777 | That Rochester Monojet was sort of like a Dyson vacuum cleaner- - - -it "inhales vigorously"! I'd suggest using a Carter YF calibrated for a 258 cubic inch AMC/Jeep engine. It should bolt onto the original intake manifold, but you might have to do a little tweaking to get the throttle linkage working properly.
