How many of you have noticed when going to view the Southern Bolters that there always seem to be activity in this group while participation in others seems to be very sporadic. Congratulations to all of the participants, but especially the strong team building by Tuts and Chipmunk!

Archie, you may like to know that SoBo is the only Side Lot that has been in the Top Twenty in our data. Those are *viewed* stats. Getting folks to post something is another *tool* that hasn't been figured out yet. wink Alvin and Craig are true to such Southern charm. grin

.....we just keep smiling and let folks wonder what we up too.
The first Southern Stovebolt gathering was about 17 years ago with 15 people. Now we also cover many stayes.
... i have to give a shout out to Tut, he's carrying the torch while us oldies are slowing down.

.. .. and a lot more to come, just watch😊

The first year I owned my bar and St Pat's Day came around, I gave out FREE corned beef sandwiches, of course very popular and people said thanks.
The second year I had grown my business and wanted to repeat the sandwiches but I did not keep any record of how many FREE sandwiches I had passed out. So in an effort to start tracking my sales, I decided to charge twenty-five cents and could track that amount on the cash register. The customers went crazy over the GREAT DEAl and how can you possibly stay in business giving sandwiches away for twenty-five cents?
Lesson learned about perceived value.

Archie, that's like a bar giving away "free" salted popcorn and/or spicy beer nuts. It makes people thirsty, and since there's a beer tap right there- - - - - -P.T. Barnum would be proud of that kind of marketing ploy! I had a friend who roasted hundreds of pounds of "in the shell" peanuts with a little kick of cayenne pepper. He kept a bunch of local bars supplied with them. They put bowls of them on the counter, and their beer sales went up pretty dramatically.
