I owned a number of 60-66 Chevy trucks 20+ years ago & thought it was high time I get back into them. Found this one right in town where I live, all original complete & unmolested C20 with 68,XXX miles, 283 4spd. The camper shell I found in Nebraska.

👠looks like a good platform for a nice build ðŸ‘🇺🇸
1962 C10 with a 235 6cyl -- all of the drive train seems to be original. Some of this story is in the Side Lot Some people like a new truck. I liked the old ones.
Looks like a really complete start. Don't scrap the camper Shell, the vintage shells are getting rare.

That’s how it starts! Lol Nice truck! Plans for it?
Thanks. Right now its going to be an occasional driver & I'll start doing the rust repair here & there. Going to keep the truck as original as possible.
Its a Homesteader, the camper door panel detaches, its missing its door, but I want to run the shell with my tailgate in place so I'll end up making a lift door for it.
My parents owned a store south of Cameron MO back in the 70’s. Before they got the AMC/Jeep dealership, dad sold stock racks and other useful items, including those camper tops. Paneling on the inside, sliding windows, wood framing with aluminum siding.
Don’t know how many of those my brother and I put on the back of customers truck beds. I do remember that we had it down. Dad would tell us which camper top on which truck and we would go into action.
Nice to see and enjoy your new venture.

Our paths may have crossed before Stovebolt. I left the area in 1975 but go back to visit occasionally.
