I don't think the caps from a 1 1/2 ton will interchange with a 2 ton. The 1 1/2 ton screws or taps on and the 2 ton has five small bolts holding it on.

If it has the screw in type and not the bolt on type , you know the front axle is 1.5 ton....so, if no one has swapped axles (not likely) your truck is a 1.5 ton rig!
Stuart | | | | | Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 1,867 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 1,867 | My coe has 4 bolts on the front and its a 1 1/2 ton... The 41' 1 1/2 ton has the entire cap that is threaded and covers the bolt, while Oldsubs 53' coe has 6 bolts that hold the cap on.
Differences in years and hubs, makes and models???
