You did a nice job on fixing it up, there are quite a few members in Michigan, we should try to set up a meet. I'm about 115 miles from you, between Lansing and Ann Arbor.
And there is a Great Lakes Bolters group here. Lots of stuff posted there with get togethers and what not. Check it out.

Dad bought the truck new. I used to sit in with a pillow behind my back to one run the winch for him. When he passed away I went down and got it. It was completely gone. Took a year and a half, during the pandemic, to get her back going again.

You've doing fine (and we are here to help). And NOW, you are a full-fledged Bolter. No longer need to get your posts approved. And you can PM folks. Look to the IT Shortbus if you have questions about using the forums. Other questions may be covered here in the Welcome Centre welcome.

Welcome to the 'Bolt! It is a great group to be a part of...you will not be disappointed! In a former life, I spent 13 years as middle school principal at the old "West Intermediate" on Bradley in Mt. Pleasant. Enjoyed my time living and working in the central Michigan area. I am now retired and living in West Branch, MI.
Welcome to the ‘Bolt! You did a great job restoring your Dad’s truck! Bet it didn’t look like that when your Dad was using it in his business.
Perhaps you would like to document your build in the DITY (Do it Yourself) Gallery forum for others to read about your journey restoring your Dads truck. I for one and I’m sure many other ‘Bolters would be interested in how it went from rescued, to a show winner.
Again, welcome to the forum!

That's a cool truck.
Did you rebuild the engine or did it just need a little TLC?

1962 C10 with a 235 6cyl -- all of the drive train seems to be original. Some of this story is in the Side Lot Some people like a new truck. I liked the old ones.
