The other three pins screwed out smoothe as silk. A stiff breeze could have unscrewed them. The fourth, however (left side that screws into the hangar itself) will not budge.
On the third application of heat I finally got it to break free slightly, but it will only move about 5 degrees--no further. I'm wondering if anyone else has had this much trouble with a threaded shackle pin, and if there are any tricks to getting them out?

With the stuck pins,I was able too get them out with liberal doses of penentrating oil,a pair of vise grips(w/nice sharp teeth!)and a propane torch to heat the hanger ( and spring when it was thier turn)Just DON"T use the torch and oil at the same time! If you are going to be removing the bushings too,BOYOCONNOR has a good post in the TECH TIPS page for that (there's also a post by me close to yours on the same page) | | |

Unfortunately I was using gobs of penetrating oil and was heating the hangar to cherry red with an acetylene torch and the pin still wouldn't budge. I ended up just hammering out the entire bushing with the pin in it. I sure hope I can find another one of those threaded bushings...
