I'm pretty sure Dean had told me who to send it to for a rebuild but I can't find that info (talking to Dean about this project has been like drinking from a fire hose ... I'm trying to keep it all organized but some stuff has been misplaced ...) But speaking of carburetors, I also have in my parts stash, about three other intakes with carburetors on them. The carbs are all different. Like a previous owner was trying to find something that would work instead of the Carter (which is hard to find). Sortta like how a friend of mine has a Model T carb on a 171 (that's been cut in half...) Talk about slow going .... my effort to merely get the engine on a stand is entering its third month...

He lives in Texas and his email is [email protected]Not too long ago, I had some fuel issues with Justin and I rebuilt his Carter carb and rehabbed the vacuum tank. I have two, but one is completely disassembled so I'm not even sure what all goes with it. I could dissect the other one to see how it all goes together.

The correct vacuum tank for a '28 vehicle has a stamped sheet metal top with four little bolts.
The innards are different between the two.
