Ma'am, I am planning to attend, albeit, probably no earlier than Friday September 22 @ 8pm simply because my work schedule has me leaving southern NM that morning for home. And then late afternoon traveling the 2.5 hrs out to Winchester. I've only been able to make 6 or 8 ATHS Winchester events since my first in 2012 and missed last year too, so kinda want to get this one in.

Thanks Peggy.

V/r,

Nick

Yes, that is what all this fussing about trying for perfection, so not only to get there but back home safely. I am thinking that JDL will be with me. If not driving the truck the Chevy HHR will have to suffice. grin

If, if, the most integral part of Stovebolt.com were to participate in person, at Winchester, this year, I’m positive, the Stovebolt turnout would shatter all participant records of past!
No pressure, Miss Peggy!

I’m not sure what “Little Pony episodes “ are, and maybe that’s best 😊. But I was hoping our paths would cross in Winchester, Miss Peggy.
But, we understand and you’ll be missed!

Small chance I maybe there also? It's the weekend after the Midwest Roundup.

I tentavely plan on being there if my old 54 3100 farm truck wants to make the trip and the weather holds. It did great on the Wrenchfest trip, but that was only half way to Winchester. US 522 looks like the best route to take.

That sounds great Carl... you'll start out on 64, I'll shoot through the country and we will cross paths right about Hardshell's place.
We can make plans when you get back. Good luck with the head. Hope Jerry has enough time to finish it before then.

(These guys have been know for various "rescues" as you have read about) headscratch
Various rescues??? Never! These are fine tuned mechanical pieces of art! don’t ever recall having any issues on my 3.5 hour ride South᠁᠁.. “OH”,᠁᠁᠁. wait a minute, the fog is wearing off,᠁᠁᠁᠁᠁᠁᠁᠁᠁᠁..! Just forget about what I just wrote! There was that time, crusing the Pa. Turnpike drive with the 53 on my way to Winchester. drive I guess I pushed the old gal just a little to hard that day. ohwell Let’s just say, that big chunk of cast iron under the hood wasn’t happy with the abuse that I was providing! ohwellShe let me know by means of a nice loud thumping noise from under that hood! Yes, fortunately, the NE continguant and myself were in a formation for just an event of said occurrence! So, a road side “rescue” was undertaken. But, the “53” did make it to Winchester! So be it on a flat bed trailer where she was sat gracefully presented to all, all weekend! dance
Can’t wait to catch up with everyone again!

I was planning to bring my 51 from Texas, but then found out my family is throwing my grandmother her 90th birthday party mid August. I can’t make 2 trips to VA. I will be planning a trip east with a convoy hopefully next summer.

Chris,

You never know ... It's only 1200-ish miles, ja?

See long it takes to fly. And then see how long it takes to drive a 70+ year old truck. Find a sponsor. wave

Chris -- That sounds like a great plan! I hope it works out. TriState '24 is one to plan for ... maybe we can get Peggy back for that one.

Mike ... Indeed. We also have to plan to bring Gary's Reo for a special award ... which means we have to talk Mary into driving the camper rig so that Pat can haul the Reo with the blue Pete. Otherwise, Charlie may lose his place on the Landoll to the Reo. Anyway, the SMIB division of the ODSS has some logistics to work out yet.

But in the grand scheme of things ... for this year, if push comes to shove, it's more important for the Reo to be at Tristate this year than Charlie.

Sorry I'm late to the thread. I have all intentions on towing Deadwrench to Winchester and camping in the field. Jim and I are strategizing on departure from Pennsylvania.
