Last time i was jibbering on about buying a 49 maple leaf, but could not come at the work involved. So i settled for a '42 mapleleaf truck for more cash.
The first job is to strip down and work on the chassis and brakes. I was wondering what type of brake fluid is used in these old trucks? Those types used in the 70's would be fine. Here the rating would be DOT 3 have no idea what the ratings would be over there. Well yesterday i put it too the test!
'Condensation in the oil, and filled up the radiator, checked for a point gap and gas connected to the carbie and in under 30mins
'She was a Purring'
