To All, I have been looking at events that would support a venue for our annual jamboree, I think this Expo is a good fit. The dates are right around the corner, March 4th and 5th, if the group thinks this would work I will put in some effort to make it happen. Please take a look at the link and check you calendars.

Let me know your thoughts.

I would need to find a trailer to come from Crossville, TN and pull it behind my RV.

I am planning to be there with my ‘53 (Old Blue).
Lookin’ forward to seeing all my stovebolt friends again!

I can’t speak for Eli yet. He will still be in school. We will have to talk it over. We may have to leave late that Friday, and head home Sunday afternoon.

Craig, this works for me. Where does everyone plan on staying?

I have a few parts for the swap meet.

I just might come. However, my life is in some transition right now making these sort of plans uncertain. It certainly sounds like a fun event with stuff I’ve not seen.

Just checked the two hotels in Fayetteville for that weekend. Hampton Inn is booked up, but Quality Inn still have rooms available.
It is short notice but, I'm ready for some warm weather and the old Machine shop would be good to check out.
Not sure yet but, it would make a nice spring vacation.

Wayne, Don.. I don't see this as our gathering for the Jamboree, tthere hasn't benn a lot of response to this. I was thinking that the AD Truck Show in Townsend TN., is better for that. The dates just work better for a lot of people.

I still plan on going to the Antique Expo, it only be Saturday though. I'll keep you posted.

I agree Craig, the Townsend show would be a better place for the Southern Jamboree. It looks like a nice laid back show and we could have our own little area to gather and grill.
Don’t rule me out for the Antique Expo yet though. The wife already said to just go!

Just made reservations at Quality Inn for Friday and Saturday nights. Not sure yet if I'll be there, but I wanted to make sure I had a room.
We can walk to the Olde Courthouse Tavern for dinner Friday night?

I’m still on the fence and will decide early that week.
Going to try and get the wife to go and make a small vacation out of it. Weather also plays a big part of the decision.
If I’m good at sweet talking her, maybe she will bake up some cookies?

We are just a couple of weeks away from this show. Is there anyone else planning to attend? I would like to plan a gettogether for Dinner Friday and perhaps Breakfast on Saturday before the show. Is anyone familiar with area and could recommend a few restaurants?

Craig, et al

This is exciting to hear you all are meetin' up already!! And Alvin, too. thumbs_up

Got a handout that's hot of the press. Looks good in color if anyone has a color printer. It's two to a page, so you get more at one print.

This is the *first* one. They change as we look at them more and more. I've already got one idea. I'd like to try the other "logo" (Find it - fix it - drive it) so maybe that could be one half. And maybe some different trucks. Like the Southerners may want three of their trucks in there. Can do that.

If you don't have biz cards, a flyer helps. Maybe put your truck info on the backside.

Here ya go. See if this prints out okay. Resized it to be able to post as a PDF.

If you want more, there are several handouts (flyers) from the Events page.

They are on the left column. You'll see them. The image below may help.

Well, life is in the way of having fun, but Vicki and I will not be able to attend.
Nothing major, just some things that have come up that needs our attention.
So, have a good time and post up a lot of pictures.

If there are no pictures, it didn’t happen!
:nopics:

Don

Edit: I’ll be canceling our hotel reservations tomorrow, if someone needs a room.

I’ll be headed that way Thursday morning, but with no cookies.

Raining here just outside of Chattanooga. Made it farther today than I thought I would. Nashville turned into a race out of the city.
Maybe it prepped me for Atlanta tomorrow? Darn the torpedos! Full steam ahead!

Had a great time today meeting up with some old friends and made a few new ones. Highy recommend this show, there is something for everyone.
A few pictures will get posted when I get home, maybe monday?

That was a neat show, fun mix of all sorts of contraptions.

The boiled peanuts and fried pies were tasty. 😁
