Lightholder's Dad knows about COEs so he is trading some parts with Marty to help out. And then there is Scooter who's truck Shelley needs a bit more power so he is buying Marty's 261 to put in his truck. And Lightholder's Dad is trading Skooter a standard manifold set for the one on the 261 which has an updraft manifold set, in case his COE ever needs it. Confused yet?
The 1951 Seacrest green truck is Lightholder's 1/2 ton. This is the truck he drove from AZ to Kansas City and back in 2015 for the Stovebolt reunion.
Kent, you and your son Scott were great have around at past Reunions. Your COE was a big hit! Hope you can make it back to KC some day.

Don, I was a CEO once (Chief Executive Officer) but I much prefer COE (Cab Over Engine). I have missed the reunions recently but plan to be there in the future. Peggy, attached is the original picture of the spontaneous line up of green trucks. To get the full story, use Peggy's link above. I had kind of forgotten about that episode but it exemplifies what is so special about this group. The get together that prompted this post is the same thing. It was fun to meet Scott and Lightholder's Dad (Kent) has been very helpful and gracious in sharing his experiences with his COE. It doesn't hurt that he lives right here in Mesa, AZ along with me! I'm glad the parts will keep other trucks going. That means the most to me. Marty

Wish we could have visited longer. Wife and I have lived in AZ for 7 1/2 years and had the privilege of meeting 4 other forum members in that time span. Every one has been super helpful and friendly, salt of the earth types.
Kent I should have asked you to fire up your 216. To me there's something extra special about them. Underpowered and slow by today's standards but what a history lesson they can tell. Marty you've done a monster amount of work in a short time disassembling that COE. Will keep an eye on your photo page for progress, but make sure to post some here on Stovebolt too. Another vote for seacrest green, it looks even better in person than in pics!
