Welcome Rocky. You have found the best Truck site on the web. I'm in Sanford and there are a couple other 'Bolters nearby. There is a local old truck club I belong to. Central Florida Classic Truck Club has a page on Facebook. Tell us about your truck.

Mako Up here in the Illinois corn belt, it is kinda lonesome too. may be why stovebolt exists. most of my buds know if they see an AD truck, it's probably me !
Most shows I go to it'll be restored trucks. they don't USE 'em like I do. Big difference between abuse and legitimate use of all trucks. Have everything it takes to be a rigger using rope, chain, cable. '51 3600 winch truck. looks ruff but is still tuff after 40 years of service in the woods and handling heavy awkward stuff.

Thanks for the reply’s, yes Orlando, Fl boy here and own a 53 5 window short wheel base 1/2 ton truck. I sent it to a shop for paint and some work where it sat for 3 years. Picked up in March this year and have been putting it together with a good friend of mine. We got it running and will take it to a muffler shop in Sanford Fl on Tuesday. I will definitely reach out to the Central Florida club.
Hello Rocky, welcome to the Southern Bolters. There are a great group of folks in central Florida so you're in good company.

I,m here in south Jacksonville, not a lot of Bolters around here. Glad to see I'm not the only one in Florida. I'm usually the only COE or Tow Truck at the local car shows. And I mean local, mine only has a top end of 40 MPH.

The alligators down there might be able to catch ya at that speed.

Might want to start a separate post for each "event" so you can get better coverage and also track who might be going.
Fun to watch this thread. Glad to see good comm.

New member here. '66 Short stepside from Melbourne area. Truck is still being brought back to life, but hopefully I can meet up with some of y'all one day. For now, I'd be happy to be able to drive to the local Dunkin's for coffee on a Sat. morning LOL

RB, welcome to the Southern Stovebolter forums. We have several Florida Bolters, but most are scattered. Brevard county has a very active car cruise scene. Check out www.Flacarshows.com

Hope to see this Florida group be able to do some Mini-Meets!
Have at it.

Alvin, Let's plan on a gathering at the Turkey Rod Run in Daytona Beach. It happens over Thanksgiving weekend. As long as Tuts doesn't buy everything in Moultrie the weekend before!

I was wondering if there are any Bolters this far South. A few times a year I see an AD truck but it’s always traveling in the opposite direction. By the time I turn around they are long gone. Man those things are fast’ LOL. I'm in the process Of restoring my 1950 5 window. You Tube and pictures are fine but a close inspection would surly help. Also how do I get a calendar and register for the Smoky Mountain meet.
Ed / Red - moved your post here to see the FL Bolters who have checked in thus far. Be sure to frequent the main SoBo page. That's where you should inquire about the big events (including the Jamboree in Tennessee) as well as request their calendar. The question about video might best be posted in General Truck Talk. Besides any video, there may be some specific tips (and Tech Tips) available to help you with your restoration.

Red welcome, I have sent you a PM with further details.
