Hello,
Wife purchased this mostly original truck a few years ago and I am trying to keep her running and looking good. Unfortunately, my old mechanic cannot get under vehicles anymore so it's up to me. My accounting background is not helpful, but I am willing to learn, and get grimy. Right now, all I'm good at is paying. I'm sure I will learn something from y'all and so far --- I find it is challenging fun.

Chris,

You are in luck. Besides the usual Shop forums, we have a forum just for Texans, or wanna be Texans.

Check in there to see who might be in your neighborhood. We know we've got all ranges of skills on the site. We think you'll learn plenty.

Welcome to the virtual garage ... and some non-virtual you'll find.

Chris, Welcome, it is worth the effort. You have an excellent base. Lucky you, my wife called my 1960 MGA and my 54 3100 junk. Told me to get the junk out of the yard. I had the garage built, and still have a garage. ohwell

Welcome Chris. If there is something specific you need help with let me know. It might be within my abilities and I'm fairly close by Texas standards.

Wow! What a nice looking truck! Hopefully it doesn't need a lot of attention. But if it does, you've come to the right place.

If your wife is into those old trucks maybe she would like to be the main mechanic on it? There are many women now turning wrenches on projects like that. I know of a few, and they do just great. She made a good choice on that truck.

Kicking self for selling off my Taskforce trucks.
Still looking for an LCF or conventional big bolt in decent shape.

Hello Chris, sounds like you have a big problem. The best advice I can think of would be for you to sell that truck to me. grin

Your wife has good taste. thumbs_up

Great looking truck!

Be prepared for information overload.

I joined a few months after purchasing a 34 3100 stowed away in a barn for a five decades.

Finally have it running and stopping thanks to finding the information I needed throughout these forums.

Lots of really good folks willing to share the knowledge.
