My window frame will be coming in week or so and I want to seal this NOT using the permanent sealer that my previous mechanic used on the old (bent) frame. Just in case a stone hits the windshield. I really need something that allows me to more easily get the windshield out. This truck will rarely if ever see rain. Cant I use some sort of int/ext clear sealant from home depot for the small amount of weather this truck will see??   sorry, I have a 1938 as in my sig and handle. Forgot to mention just in case.

Kicking self for selling off my Taskforce trucks.
Still looking for an LCF or conventional big bolt in decent shape.
As of 10-26-2022, A 55.2 Taskforce long bed now the work begins

Just do a search, actually I think I saw it that way when I was looking for the stuff I linked to. Personally I'd rather be able to use a small applicator and pull back the seal with a seal tool to put in where I want it. I don't think you want sealer any place while your using a rope to install the window and rubber seal. Maybe some sealer in the channel for the glass before install because it would be next to impossible to get sealer there after the install. But around the pinch weld that could be done after the install, I think.

It comes in tubes just like regular caulking.
