Always want to thank the folks who help make this site possible, from the volunteers, moderators and the participants helping in the forums.

There's a very special group who needs a big thanks from all of us. They've dipped into their pockets and, after sorting out a few nuts, bolts and dog hairs, have tossed some cash our way to help us pay for the things we need to keep this site growing and up-to-date. Lately, as you know, there's been a lot of that going on!

In 2022, these guys did just that:
This list can be viewed at the main Thanks page.

Tim "tclederman" Lederman - two times!
Tom Moore
Ron "WE b old" Steltz - three donations this year!
Jeff "Rusty Rod" Backus - two timer ... and Moderator for Electrical Bay, Panels & Burbs, Name that Part, Rocky Mountain & Welcome Centre
Larry "Larry P." Parker
James "GMJim" Clark
Michael "51Sub" Litch
Alvin "Achipmunk" Parris - three times ... and Moderator for Welcome Centre, Southern Bolters, Legion Hall
Harold "67superc" Lord
Ed "Wally / Montana" Waali
Joe "JSMvintage" Smith
Ronnie "Dusty53" Miller
George "Wrenchbender Ret." Capito
Dan "Gdads51" Gerhards - two donations ... and Moderator for the Swap Meet
Glenn "jrhackett" Hackett
John "panel fan" Gobby
Anny Mouse - sent as a "thank you" for the work done for the Heartland get-together in September
Tom "1954 MI" Hosmer - second donation and he is a Moderator for the Great Lakes Forum
Mark "MNSmith" Smith - five donations for this year!! And he's the Moderator for Panels & Burbs as well as the Tool Chest.
Wayne "Wayne67vert" Malm
Martin "justhorseround" Bass - plus Martin is the Moderator for General Truck, Hi-Po (co-Mod) and Greasy Spoon
Kevin "klhansen" Hansen - Kevin is a Moderator for Paint & Body, Making a Stovebolt Bed, Name that Part, Welcome Centre
Mark "59 fleet" Sharp -- The "Mar" in Mar-K.com
Gordon "Gord&Fran" Hillsden - Moderator for IT Shortbus and The BC Bolters
Craig "D B Cooper" Elvers
Ronnie "moparguy" Rhodes

Folks like these have helped keep the site generally ad-free, for over 26 years. Thank you all!

Stovebolters and Staff

Many of the donations in PayPal or in a letter come with some very nice comments. Those are tucked away but not forgotten by us. wink

Here's a check that came in the mail.

Alvin "Achipmunk" Parris - he''s making this a three-for ... and a moderator

Alvin recently posted this in the Spoon: "I know there has been a lot of "computer stuff" going on here and I'm sure it doesn't come cheap. So, its my opinion, we all need to chip in a quarter or two to help keep this site going strong for those who follow us. "Leaders go where there is no path and leave a trail for others". Lets make sure those who follow will benefit from our efforts. Just my opinion guys....and thanks. This has been second home to many of us."

I really like that "trail for others" saying. Like our old trucks, we want to be out on the info highway for the benefit of others. I can't image we'd be cancelled. grin

Thanks Alvin for all you do. You are a real Stovebolt patriot. grin

Donations came today from two Ron's.

Ronnie "Dusty53" Miller
"Thank you for all you do. The site has been very, very helpful in my restoration project. I enjoy the occasional banter and visit the site regularly. For John — make 2Ton (Don) a moderator. He just loves this stuff, don’t let him tell you he doesn’t. Stay safe, God Bless"

Ron "WE b old" Steltz -- Ron's second donation this year!

Thanks all. Once we get to August, I'll make it the "third quarter."

With the bad economy, we all sure appreciate the help. thumbs_up

On all our behalf, thank you to

George "Wrenchbender Ret." Capito
"I'm glad to help the Stovebolt website. It has been a big help to me when I was rebuilding trucks. It is a great asset to the old truck hobby. Keep up the good work at the SB website."

George has been a long time supporter of the site in many ways. One thing: he did an awesome clinic on restoring your carburetor at the Kansas City Reunion for several years. thumbs_up

Thanks for the kind words Peggy!

Since Peggy suggested " Hopefully, he'll share his story about his name from high school. (Would be cool if pix included!)", I figured why not. grin

In a nut shell, here is a little about me taken from my PM conversation with Peggy about my first donation:

Peggy said: "AND ... you have a great name (almost - Gear-head) for this biz."

My response: "The "AND..." comment is too funny grin because you nailed my high school moniker perfectly!!!

My denim jacket (back then worn year round) had a big Chevrolet patch on the back with "Gearhead" hand stitched above in 3" letters by then best friend Cheryl (now wife of almost 40 years)."

As to photos: "No photo evidence of those high school days. Were lost through some of our many relocation moves during 21 year Army career. Probably would be difficult to "own up to" some of the shenanigans back then too. secret"

Anyhow, thanks again Peggy for the nudge! thumbs_up

Thanks also too everyone in the community for making this a great place!

Got a few people to thank who gave John donations when they were at the ODSS event in Winchester, VA last weekend.

Glenn "jrhackett" Hackett
Tom "1954 MI" Hosmer - and a moderator
John "panel fan" Gobby

There are a number of kind remarks made by the folks who participated in the event posted in the ODSS Side Lot.

The cold hard cash comes in handy for paying the bills!!

Thanks yet again.

Another few checks came in the mail yesterday:

These donations are sent anonymously in behalf of Don "2 Ton" King and Steve "Mongo" Mosley for their work in the planning, implementing and providing the place and refreshments at the Stovebolt gathering at Mongo's Garage last month. I'm sure they spent many hours getting this place ready for the event.

Thanks for all you do.

Thanks to the donor for his continued support of the site! We're in the last quarter. thumbs_up

Peggy, I'm trying to donate on PayPal. Paypal doesn't recognize Stovebolt.com/The Stovebolt Page. They are asking for a phone number or email address.
Help?

Ron,

There should be plenty of gatherings come next year. Be sure (we know you are always looking wink ) to check The Side Lots to see what brewing, especially in the spring. Some groups may get together during the winter just to combat some of the winter blues.

I’m having no success with the PayPal link᠁. Pops up in PayPal okay, but with a page not found message.
I go to the “SEND” tab and try searching for “Stovebolt” and get zero results.

If anyone’s had success donating via PayPal recently, can you share some details?

Thanks,

Another thoughtful donation. Big Thanks!

Greg "Greg '46 " Duran

Besides helping with the finances needed to run this site, Greg has been an active participant in the Forums ... for 10 years this month! thumbs_up

Greg was another test case to figure out what was wrong with the PayPal link. With the help from fellow Bolters, Greg reported: "Wayne entered “editor@stovebolt.com”᠁ I just did so and it processed successfully; no hits, no runs, no errors."

We fixed the Thanks page and include this directive. Hope this settles it. shake

Thanks thanks thanks again y'all.

A huge thanks to:

Ronnie "moparguy" Rhodes

This makes the last donation for the year! I'll update the main Thanks page later this week.

A great thank you yet again to all who helped with some of the expenses associated with running this site. That has been a huge help in keeping this site free and free of ads.

We feel truly blessed to have wonderful Bolters on the site who make Stovebolt a great place to be, volunteer, help and share.

Thanks and thanks.

(Is this enough "thanks" in here. headscratch Where's the wordsmith. wink )

Just got the 2022 listing in main Thanks page.

Just noticed while in there, you all have been supporting the Stovebolt for more than 17 years!

Incredible.
