Brando4905 'Bolter B Joined: Nov 2022 Posts: 20 WNC	Hey Folks… I’m a Stovebolt newbie that recently brought home a ‘53 model. Mostly original truck, stock for the most part. Runs, drives and stops, but needs lots of TLC. Exhaust system was rotten as well as the tires. Should have everything in my hands today to start getting it back in shape, well,… at least the first round. I’ve removed the manifold to repair ruined studs on the header flange, hopefully starting reassembly this afternoon with complete exhaust system, stud repair was a success. I’m aware that even though this truck goes and stops now, that still…..all it needs is everything! Glad I found this forum! I’ve been in the VW world most of my life and love wrenching on old stuff, but the classic Chevy truck scene is new to me. Tried to post a pic of my truck, but I’ll have to figure out how to resize images. Last edited by Peggy M; 07/11/2023 5:11 PM. Reason: added more info to the title

Having an Advanced Design truck, you'll find a very helpful crew ... it's one of the most popular series in the site. When you are ready, you'll probably find you spend a lot of time in The Shops. From bumper to bumper, you can find help in there. If you need any help or have questions about the site, a good place to start is looking in the IT Shortbus. We have a lot of things covered there and many folks can help you there. Have been posting a series called "HOW TO:" where we cover some of the basics. Plant a flag in a few of these area in our Virtual Garage so you can get past the "moderated" stage. Then you'll be able to send and receive Private Messages (PMs). A big plus!
