Hey Folks…
I’m a Stovebolt newbie that recently brought home a ‘53 model. Mostly original truck, stock for the most part. Runs, drives and stops, but needs lots of TLC.
Exhaust system was rotten as well as the tires. Should have everything in my hands today to start getting it back in shape, well,… at least the first round. I’ve removed the manifold to repair ruined studs on the header flange, hopefully starting reassembly this afternoon with complete exhaust system, stud repair was a success.
I’m aware that even though this truck goes and stops now, that still…..all it needs is everything!
Glad I found this forum! I’ve been in the VW world most of my life and love wrenching on old stuff, but the classic Chevy truck scene is new to me.
