Hello, I'm digging into the 1940 1/2 ton. I've managed to find out it came out of the Baltimore plant in 1940, and from what I can tell it never got further then a 60-100 mile radius of where it was made! She still has both her original MD license plates from '40 as well. I'm trying to see if the Engine is correct. Block says GM with a 20 underneath, and then casting # of 3769716.
That's pretty cool that you have the original plates. Does Pennsylvania allow you to register vintage plates and put them on the truck?

Unfortunately for originality, it doesn't look like the engine is original. The 3769716 casting number, according to this is a '60 or '61 235 ci truck engine. But that's a good engine for a driver.

So on the flat boss behind the dip stick it has FO22IJC. Does that helps date it better? Here's some engine pics, Also I need help ID'ing the carb. so I can get the correct Rebuild kit, it's a Rochester.
