Not to debate stock vs resto mod. I just sold my camp and will have some disposable cash left over after I fund my investments. When calculator says I have a 99% chance of reaching all my goals I am stopping.
That being said I will have some extra cash to spend on the truck. What would people do in addition to what I am thinking?
1. I am on the fence, but leaning to a traditional SB with FI. 2. I was going to keep the 4 speed, but now I have the ability to upgrade to a 5 or 6 speed. 3. Going to add AC. Anything better than vintage air? 4. All ready bought stuff to add PS and PB. Disk front drum rear. 5. I am going to keep working at the body work. I think I am doing a good job to come out with a very good paint job. 6. I have the wheels I want already. 7. Going to do a silent choice exhaust so I can be loud and the rest of the family can be quiet.
I am not going to lower it or bag it. Not doing headers. I am doing original faded color. I am going to do my best to make it look the part of a 1966 C10 with subtle hard to spot upgrades. This is the main reason for the SB. I am going to tin and badge it like the original 283.
Anything that I should be doing that I have forgotten about?
Have your seats professionally rebuilt to include the latest foam available. Your bumm will thank you for it.
