Not to debate stock vs resto mod. I just sold my camp and will have some disposable cash left over after I fund my investments. When calculator says I have a 99% chance of reaching all my goals I am stopping.

That being said I will have some extra cash to spend on the truck. What would people do in addition to what I am thinking?

1. I am on the fence, but leaning to a traditional SB with FI.
2. I was going to keep the 4 speed, but now I have the ability to upgrade to a 5 or 6 speed.
3. Going to add AC. Anything better than vintage air?
4. All ready bought stuff to add PS and PB. Disk front drum rear.
5. I am going to keep working at the body work. I think I am doing a good job to come out with a very good paint job.
6. I have the wheels I want already.
7. Going to do a silent choice exhaust so I can be loud and the rest of the family can be quiet.

I am not going to lower it or bag it. Not doing headers. I am doing original faded color. I am going to do my best to make it look the part of a 1966 C10 with subtle hard to spot upgrades. This is the main reason for the SB. I am going to tin and badge it like the original 283.

Anything that I should be doing that I have forgotten about?

Have your seats professionally rebuilt to include the latest foam available. Your bumm will thank you for it.

Yes, seat looks great.
Front sway bar is really worth the $100 invested.

New glass, weatherstrip, and a rear sway bar too are good to have if you are upgrading things. Dynamat sound deadner in the doors/floors/firewall.

Rebuild or get some good quality gauges that are reliable. Don't want to guess on Temp, oil pressure/fuel, ect, ect.

I have cleaned whole instrument panel and tested gauges. I might have cooked the amp meter as I was thinking it was a volt meter when I tested it?

I need a windshield, but was planning on reusing door and rear glass. I will have to check on cost of that. I agree, new glass would be nice.

I also have already planned on all new rubber and sound proofing as good as I can.

Had not thought about a rear sway bar as well?
