The local brake company wont sell rivets to the public I guess they want to do the whole job. | | | | | Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 6,100 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 6,100 | Hy ttodd, what size are you looking for. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2005 Posts: 469 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Feb 2005 Posts: 469 | 3/16 x 1/2 I think will do it probaly about 40 of them | | | | | Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 6,100 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 6,100 | Hy ttodd, I'll give you lots of info, you decide what you want to do. Their address is Euclid Industries, Inc. 6660 Beta Drive Cleveland, Ohio 44143-2321 Hope that helps. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2005 Posts: 469 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Feb 2005 Posts: 469 | Thanks 3B you are my brake rivet hero. Or you can buy your shoes and linnings pre assembled, or your local brake shop can attach linnings to your shoes for you, many ways to go, hope that helps. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2005 Posts: 469 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Feb 2005 Posts: 469 | This is a great way to fix brakes that you can not find parts for. I just put a two speed rear end out of a early model fQrd in my doodle bug. People think huck brakes are hard to find parts for try finding ancor brake parts for the old fQrds can't be done so you just make them yourself. By the way 3B got the rivets shoes installed life is good. Made the shoes out of some parts from a 6x6 military truck. | | |
