Seems a doctor started taking it apart almost twenty years ago, even taking apart things that never should have been taken apart! Well the price was right (CHEAP!!!~).
I have already found a 235 to replace the old 216, started purchasing new chrome, etc. That's really all I've done so far, as i expected to not be able to really begin the project until i (gasp) retire in about 4 years.
Your site has been extremely helpful so far, such as finding a suitable replacement for those original two piece wheels! I may not post much of anything, but rest assured, i will be 'lurking' in the shadows, reading posts, gathering ideas, etc. ((HELP))
The only thing this trunk did not have were the door hinges. Seems the previous owner sent them out to be repaired, the shop owner died, and the hinges got lost in the shuffle. I've found new replacements at a pretty high price, so ill guess ill just keep looking around for affordable options. Just wanted to let everyone know who i was....
