I have a 1/2 ton truck. Can I put a big bolt cab,"I can get a rust free one" on and use 1/2 ton fenders or is the cowel area larger?

The cabs are the same from the little 1/2 tons to the larger 2 tons and everything in between, provided we're talking about an AD series truck,

Not sure what the AD series is. I've got a 48 first series.

75,
I could go on about what AD refers to but if you do a search for AD truck you will find reams of material. Good luck with your truck and don't forget the pictures!

So could a 1948 Thrift master be considered an AD?

An AD series (Advanced Design) truck goes from 47 second series to 55 first series. So, yes, you have an AD series truck. The trucks before the AD's were nicknamed the Art Deco's and the trucks after were called the Task Force trucks. Hope that helps some, welcome to the Stovebolt,
Scott

As I'm sure a moderator will soon chime in, please don't post the same question in multiple forums. It just confuses everything.

Sorry, Didn't know that. I was looking for an answer ASAP, so I could give someone the final word on buying his cab.
