Well, I have been on the fence on weather to haul a truck down there or not and fell off. Going to load the 57 one ton up and bring it. Brakes are real questionable, but I figure Alvin or Jerry can drive it in and out of the show. It will save our spot for the two days along with the Stovebolt awning. I'll probably bring some restricted area tape down also. Maybe we can rope off an area, if we know how many trucks we'll have.

Don, look at it this way.....gas hasn't gone up by $5......only $3 since couple years ago. A spoon full of sugar makes the medicine go down. I had to apply this logic to room rates too!!! Same as last year....but a few dollars more. Yeah right!

Mark, last year we all met up at Shoney's in Lebanon, same exit as the State Park. I'm sure that Alvin has Shoney's on his mind, I know our daughter Megan does. As for time??? I'm sure it will be early as the Truck Show gates open at 8:00.

Has the actual show been moved to the state park this year, instead of the county fairgrounds like last year? I'm having a hard time imagining how they're going to manage as many trucks as are likely to show up, and a "nothing but Chevy" policy isn't going to work in a place with public access like the park. Was the notice in the sidebar of the forum that was up for several days incorrect about the location? Jerry

OK- - - -I checked online- - - -the main event is back at the Wilson County fairgrounds again. Our own gathering is at the park, before, during, and/or after the big show. Don, which cabin do you have reserved this time, and which picnic pavilion is ours? I'll probably park my trailer with the smoker on it at the pavilion if I can do so without ruffling any feathers. Parking at the cabins is a little scarce. Jerry

Who want to teach Tom how to post a picture? I'm only been able to get it to work once. Tried several times to no avail. Will keep trying til I get it. Maybe do a video for dummies like me.

George is something else. All this time to remember me and my rock collection. I will look forward to getting it. I can see a spot right now for it just outside the window here. Close enough to the tree so it won't interfere with the mowing.

To all of you who attended this year's Jamboree thank you for making this a great event. While the weather may not have cooperated, the heat and rain seemed to take it's toll on us. Still we managed to have a great time, Saturday evening at the pavilion was a highlight for me. I enjoyed meeting everyone and sharing stories of life, family and trucks. Thank you all for that.
Going forward I will work with all of you to find a better venue for our Southern Jamboree. While the folks at SETN have been great to us the overall theme of the C10 Nationals doesn't seem consistent with the Stovebolt ideals. As a group I think we can find an more fitting venue at a more suitable time of year. I will be asking for everyone's input on this as it is our gathering.
Just a special shout to Jon (Panelfan) and Marie for make the trip from Canada, had a great time getting to know you both.

Craig , the pleasure was ours . We were sorry to miss the Saturday even events along with Jerry's cooking but we did manage to dine on some of the finest cuisine available at the preferred drive through . The ride home was great part way through Kentucky it rained for a while cooling things down enough to require the heater which stayed on until 50 miles from home when the sun came up in our windshield. Gotta love night travel , no traffic no heat . Thanks to all there ,you made the jaunt south worth while. I will start a new thread in the near future to see who might be interested in having a stovebolt get together north of the border here where Marie and would host at our place.next year sometime, I'm thinking April or May to avoid extreme heat but we're open to all suggestions. Think on it
