Has anyone been successful in matching the maroon-ish color for the metal trim around the door panels with an off the shelf rattle can color?

I'm going to head down to FLAPS to see what they might have in a Duplicolor spray can. I could go to the paint store and pick something from their chip books, and have them mix me up a rattle can, but if I can get close enough with something off the shelf, it would be much cheaper than a custom color rattle can at over $35. It's the only thing I can find on the truck that needs that color. And being a cheapskate ....... wink

Thanks

Well my search for matching the marooon color remaining on the metal trim was a bust. But I dug out the door panels and they're not maroon, but are brown. So I'm headed back to find a paint that matches them (and the headliner I bought.) Should be easier, as there are a number of browns available.

If anyone cares, wink I found a can of Rustoleum Leather Brown that's an adequate match. The door panels I got were from Jim Carter. They don't carry the maroon ones, but do have vinyl in that color, but that's too fancy for a base level trim truck like mine. I have no idea what color the original panels were, cause they're long gone. I only have two pictures of the interior showing the door panels and they're too dark to tell the color. But the metal trim was definitely maroon, probably pretty close to the seat upholstery. They're going to be brown now (don't tell the purists. wink )

klhansen Bought some interior paint from Carter's ,is brown with a rose hint color to it. That brown would be OK too. doesn't have to be perfect for this one .

Most FLAPS don't carry Rustoleum. I got it at Lowes. Home Depot probably carries it as well, but I try not to shop there.
