Cool looking car!
But that is not a Ute. It’s a car modified to a small pickup bed.
Remove the trunk lid and insert a aftermarket bed.
Cool car though and it would get a lot of attention at any car show!

Just my thoughts.

Just as a point of information, back in the day you could buy a “Kit” to convert your Business Coupe into a pickup. As Don said, You installed the kit and removed your trunk lid. That may very well what is shown in Alvin’s photo.

Very cool car Alvin!
Being a Chevy it would have had a stovebolt in it. Either a 194 or more likely a 216. I don’t remember what year Chevy went to the 216. Anybody know?

Alvin,
Pretty cool car/truck. I also see a few Chevrolet SSR trucks in the background.
Is this a private collection at the dealership?

Alvin! I am SOOOOOOOO mad at you!! How could you stab me in the heart like that?? Thought I wouldn't notice, eh?

You are hereby BANNED from Stovebolt for three days, retroactively dated from the day of your gross and willful violation of our rules.

Sooooooo... Welcome back. I hope you learned your lesson.

Cool car, though. I've seen those trunk inserts listed in an accessory catalog once, I think. Tim Lederman can probably find us a reference. They're probably very rare.

Tom, it is a private collection. Belongs to Kevin Whitaker who has ran at least one dealership in Greenville for many years.
I was at the dealership visiting a Stovebolt buddy (Chris) who works for him and keeps his "collection" up to snuff. I've even thought about selling my 37 to him (but someone else has already ask)
I saw it when he first got it but the I really love the 1919 Panel he has in his collection.
I have a good relationship with my bolter buddy, Chris, and he will let me see the collection anytime. In fact, Kevin bought his nice 65 Chevy pickup from him. His truck can be seen in some of our bolter reunions pictures held here at my house.

If I can get over there I'll shoot some pictures......TRUCKS of course!!!! I talked with Chris this week and we are due to have lunch together soon.

Sorry John, I'm glad it was only 3 days. I was about to go into withdrawals......I don't test the water very often but hey, you know how I am smile

I saw one of those in a museum yesterday, but it was black.
