Might not be the place to do this, but I wanted to give a big thank you to Tom Moore for gifting me a much needed part. Great guy, and a real pleasure to work with!

I’d like to do the same thing and thank ‘Bolter Jeffery Marrone in Hauppauge, New York. He gifted me a Rochester carb that’s going to fit nicely on my newly acquired 235. Thanks Jeffrey for your generosity!

I like the idea of us Stovebolter's monitoring the Parts Wanted and Free forums and when possible just send a part to a person who needs one without worrying about money or recouping costs. Of course, there are parts that have value or cost a member some money to acquire - and in that case it makes sense to break even or a little better, to help another out.

Last, I have benefitted from others here who gave their precious time to package and mail parts to me for little if any cost to me but more effort for them. Its another way of thanking them for helping me out.

Kades51 has donated me a parts I needed and I’ve tried to return the favor by sending parts that I no longer need to others that can use them.
That’s what Stovebolt is about. We’re a community.

About 15 years ago, a bunch of us helped a 13 year old who had acquired an old truck. He got free parts from many of us, even a truck manual and rides to events. One member drove quite a ways to see him and help him get his truck running.

Leo, that satisfaction for what all of you did, doesn't have a price tag.

So many folks, mainly here on the 'Bolt, have helped me, guided me, and tolerated me, and asked for nothing in return.

I live a very good life....been blessed way more than I should have been....so if I can help somebody, like somebody helped me, then the paying it forward doesn't have a price tag either.

As I have told folks, that little minor piece somebody needs, may not mean much to you, but it will mean a bunch to the person looking for it. Help them out. And from what I've seen by most everybody here on Stovebolt…..they have, they do, and they will.

I agree with all of you.....and Leo, I remember that quite well. I chatted with him not to long ago. He's still around............ Stovebolt Rocks!!

Leo That is a great story,I open my hood and let the little boys look in there,let em stand on the paint my 10 foot truck wont be hurt. When their legs get long enough show them how to roll-off with a stick set-up and be right there to turn the key off if something goes sour ! Fire back up do it again !!
