One is in the door sill at the top, the other is inside on the drivers kick panel.The one on the door sill has 2 lines and the first reads, BID C-66-201, and the second reads, C6336S214959. The other one has the GVW which is 19,500#'s. It also says, TRANS- C4, and, REAR AXLE RATIO-15-6-15. Also, 2 other places say, WB-157, and CA-84. I have a picture of the one on the upper door sill, but it didn't come out to good.Can anyone tell me about any of this? How do I tell if I have a 2 speed rear end? First here's what I'm pretty sure of;
A. BID C-66-201 is in reference to a bid from the agency that first aquired it. The second number is the VIN number.
B. The C4 tranny is a GM CH-465 4 speed I'll bet.
C. If it is a 2 speed rear there is a push/pull vacuum switch on the shift lever. Also a vacuum chamber sticking out of the pig on the diff.
D. WB-157 is 157" wheelbase and CA-84 is cab-to-axle dimension of 84". Just right for a 10' dump body or a 12' stake/platform/van body.
The 19,500 GVWR is the same as a current F550 F^#%. Likely has a 5K front with a 15K rear axle on 8:25x20-10PR rubber. The 15K rear was the smallest of the 2 speed rears. You may still find a line setting ticket bill of materials inside the glove box door.

Thank you for all your help. We do know a little history on this truck. From what we were told, it was an Army truck in Europe. My father-in-law got it from an old friend of his about 25 years ago and used it around his farm till the motor blew. He put another motor in it and then it sat for 18 years until I came along.
